Benefits depend on care grade and care arrangement.
Up to €4,180 for home adaptations
For care grades 1–5, the care fund can grant up to €4,180 per measure on application.
Stairlifts, platform lifts & ramps
Fixed ramps or stairlifts can qualify as home-environment improvements in individual cases.
Accessible bathroom & shower
Bathroom conversions that make care or independence easier may qualify for support.
Up to €42/month for consumable care aids
The care fund currently reimburses up to €42 per month for eligible consumable care aids.
Wheelchairs, walkers & medical aids
Medically necessary wheelchairs or walking aids can be covered by statutory health insurance.
€131 monthly relief amount
People receiving care at home currently have up to €131 per month as a purpose-bound relief amount.
Respite & short-term care
In 2026 the shared annual budget for respite and short-term care is up to €3,539.
